Arcade style game for the Gameboy Color, created with GB Studio.

Help Olly grab all the watermelons and reach the end, before time runs out!
Jump and shoot throughout 100 stages and 4 bosses on the main campaign.
Plus, 40 additional stages and a secret boss, hidden somewhere.

Play on the browser, or download the ROM file (Analog Pocket rom also available!).
Even though it will run on an original Gameboy, performance will be severely impacted, sometimes, to the point of being unplayable.

Controls:

- Cursor Keys (D-Pad): Move
- Z (A Button): Jump
- X (B Button): Shoot star
- Shift (Select): Quick restart
- Enter (Start): Pause

Issues
:

  • If the game is paused and projectiles are present, they will continue moving. This is a GBStudio limitation.
  • Mr. E's sprite shows up a bit wonky on its later phases due to hardware limitations.
  • In rare spots, +1 sprites will not disappear. Such as stage A05.
  • Stage 72 suffers from slowdown due to the amount of projectiles.
  • Best played on a backlit Gameboy Color / handheld.

Tough, but nice, congratulations. I wish it was a bit easier so I could progress further and see the neat level details.

Understandable. It's been a common complaint.
It's difficult for me to judge, as I've been playing it for a long time and am now quite good at it.

Mainly the reason why I added the secret easy mode.
